el accidente

Last night at about 3 AM our trailor decided to unhinge itself from our bus going approximately 70 MPH. This was bad. It snapped off our bus and ALMOST (and i mean so fucking close) slammed into the academy is bus which was trailing closely behind ours. Their bus driver SAVED THEIR LIVES by swurving out of the way just in time. Even though it is not any of our faults, i still feel guilty for putting all of them so close to danger. After the runaway trailor decided to almost kill my friends, it hit the center divider of the highway and all of our equipement inside was like "hey dudes, lets get the fuck outta here", so through the back door, side doors, and pretty much every other part of the trailor, our equipement freed itself from it's captor's evil grip and jumped all over the highway leaving a pretty large path of debree. Suffice it to say, lots of our stuff is broken. This stuff will cost money to replace, and because we dont have this stuff today we had to cancel the toronoto show...but its only that...stuff. We are alll soooo unbelievably happy that the only thing mangled in this whole disaster was stuff not dudes. When i woke up i got text messages from my friends who had already read about it on absolutepunk. I went to see how they got the info so early, and i read...4th post down "I was hoping they'd die :(". I refuse to comment on people saying negative shit about our music...thats fair game in internetland i guess, but this kind of thing does seriously piss me off. Thank you for everyone who told that person how ignorant they are, but my friends and i actually DID come close to being in a very bad place today. I look to absolutepunk sometimes as a source for having opinionated kids who know when situations demand a sense of compassion and who will drop their hostility once a situation becomes serious, so it just sucked to read that this morning. We'll be fine. We should be all good for buffalo manana. I was really pumped to play toronto today. I still have $10 Canadian in my wallet from two months ago in vancouver that i was waiting to spend. Oh well. Thank you for your concern. Everythings ok.

COBRA STARSHIP SUCKS

at halo. we have (dorkily) been playing cobra at halo 3 every night, and unfortunately, they are no match for us. gabe just jumped in yesterday but he has no idea whats going on in this game yet. its pretty amazing to see us squash them every night.

anyway. halloween was amazing. i would say we had the best costumes ever. we decided to be a band of pirates and we invaded hartford and i would say shredded it pretty well. mike carden was officially the scariest thing ever that night and i dont think i want to see any pictures of him again. serious nightmare material. im already having bad enough dreams this tour as it is. tomorrow is new hampshire. i dont think we've ever played a show there. i am excited though.

the academy is... dudes invited me to come on stage every night and sing the end of neighbors with them. i would say i was nervous at the beginning...i didnt want to fuck up their song but now im having a really good time jumping around up there with them. please come cheer on if you can make it out to the rest of the shows. alrighty. time to slay cobra again. im really upset that its getting cold so fast. i think i lost all my hoodies on the bus. i will be an icecube next time you see me.
love

RESURRECTING OUR F.O.E. JOURNAL FROM THE GRAAAVEEEE!!!

so in honor of halloween coming up and all things creepy, we are going to bring our friends or enemies V.I.P. journal back from the dead and start posting here much more often. its time i would say. i just got this crazy new blackberry which  in contrast to the sidekick 3 which i previously owned (i.e. the bane of my existence), i can actually take really good pictures with it. last night gabe (cobra) aqcuired a crazy robot costume from some kids and i took a picture of him wearing it and uploaded it to this journal. doing this will ultimitely do things...first and foremost, it will test if i actually DID figure out how to email pictures from my phone to this page, and secondly, its a reallllly creepy picture that i want all of you to examine thoroughly. it looks like gabes face is actually PROJECTED onto the robot costume, but i swear, thats really him. after he de-roboted, we watched some really bad special about  nostradomus's last scroll. it was really aweful because it was two hours long and had zero startling predictions about the end of the world. the only revelation made by the end of the episode was that in fact, nostradomus had nothing to do with the writing of the scroll. waste of time. we were on TRL today with the academy dudes. we were nervous at first but it was good to be there with our friends. sisky kept me calm backstage. anyways, im going to think of other crafty things i can do via my phone and this journal...im also going to start directing my myspace friends here are well, just to get everyone in one place togever. its actually getting cold outside. finally. but i dont really like it. but im kind of a brat like that.

love- ben

New Song!

Here are the lyrics to our new song.  you can find it posted on our myspace:

WILLIAMSBURG

Hold your own jacket please
I'm not in the mood
Millions of trains under the ground
This city was the blueprint for hell

Passed out, sleeping at your party
Dream of leaving in the morning
You will all die in Williamsburg
Too hip to even clean your nose out
Your grave is pulling at your pants now
You will all die in Williamsburg

Bored again
Watching the rats
Eat all your food
At least you'll be used to
The place you'll be soon
This city was the blueprint for hell

Passed out, sleeping at your party
Dream of leaving in the morning
You will all die in Williamsburg
Too hip to even clean your nose out
Your grave is pulling at your pants now
You will all die in Williamsburg

Do you know how obvious you are?
You were born in New Hampshire but you say you're from the O.C.
Brooklyn's a death bed
For clones of the same kid
Stuck in the party
That was lame to begin with

At least you'll be used to
The place you'll be soon
This city was the blueprint for hell

Passed out, sleeping at your party
Dream of leaving in the morning
You will all die in Williamsburg
Too hip to even clean your nose out
Your grave is pulling at your pants now
You will all die in Williamsburg

You will all die

Some Photo-Shoot Photos

Hello Hello,
So we're getting ready to hit the road, but before we take off we had some business to take care of in LA.  Yesterday (Super Bowl Sunday!) we had a photo shoot for some of the new album art and our publicity photos.

We think you guys are going to love the new art work, but we can't tell you about it cause that would ruin it.  We can however, give you a tiny little taste of what its going to be like, because we took some behind-the-scenes photos of our shoot.

The shoot was in this unbeliveable loft in downtown LA.  Its a totally insane place, every room looks totally different and provides some really intesting backdrops for pictures.  Here are some of the pictures  we took.

Pretty cool, huh?  But there's a ton of work that goes into photo shoots that you never see.  Here are some shots of us getting camera-ready, and some shots of the behind-the-scenes technical stuff.

Pretty amazing, huh? Most people never get to see what happens behind the scenes, but there's actually quite a lot of work.

Anyways we're real excited about the way the pictures came out and we can't wait for you to get to see them.

We've got a ton of tour dates coming up, so be sure to come and see us when we hit your town.

we hope you enjoyed the pictures
